Matthew Wansink

Practicing as a solicitor servicing the business community, Matthew graduated in 2008 with his J.D. from the University of British Columbia Faculty of Law, where he concentrated largely on corporate, commercial and international matters.  As an effective advocate, Matthew’s clients rely on him to have a breadth and depth of knowledge across a wide range of legal areas, as well as to offer practical advice on strategic business, dispute resolution and risk management issues.  While much of his time is spent with clients focused on property development, buying and selling businesses and commercial financing, Matthew’s practice has also evolved to assist individuals with their wills, estates and trust planning needs.

Matthew has an extensive business background, both as a lawyer serving small and medium businesses and, before entering the world of law, as a vendor sales manager with the world’s largest IT distribution company.  Prior to joining the team at SHK, Matthew also served as a Review Officer at WorkSafeBC, where he acted as sole arbitrator and decision-maker on hundreds of compensation claims appeals.
