Biography
With over 30 years of experience as a business lawyer in the realm of corporate and commercial law, Peter advises a wide range of clients on business matters, including:
structuring business enterprises, corporations, joint ventures, and partnerships; preparing buy-sell, shareholder, joint venture, partnership agreements; structuring business and asset acquisitions and dispositions; providing business succession and tax planning; preparing construction contracts, including financing and public-private partnerships; implementing corporate reorganizations; negotiating and preparing employment contracts; and providing advice on employer-employee relations.
Peter also maintains an active practice as a real estate lawyer for both business and personal transactions. His real estate expertise includes commercial leasing, commercial and residential lending, real estate development, and residential and commercial real estate purchase and sale transactions.
As an experienced estate lawyer Peter advises clients on the full spectrum of estate and tax planning strategies including wills, representation agreements, and alter-ego, spousal and family trusts.
Peter is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, where he has served as a Practice Advisor, and the Law Society of British Columbia, where he has served as an Ad Hoc Bencher on the Complainants Review Committee. An active member of his community, Peter donates his time to many projects, sports associations, schools and organizations throughout the Lower Mainland.
