Michael joined SHK in 2017. He is one of the firm’s civil litigators, with a focus on construction, commercial, real estate and insurance disputes.
Prior to joining SHK, Michael practiced in the insurance litigation and coverage group of an established Toronto firm. While there, he litigated matters involving product liability, construction law, motor vehicle liability, occupier’s liability, contractual disputes, condominium disputes and defamation actions, among others. He also advised insurers on, and litigated, complex coverage matters relating to a variety of policy types.
While at law school, Michael received prizes for the highest standing in Insurance Law and Securities Regulation, as well as achieving the highest overall standing in his third year.
Michael has completed the Canadian Securities Course and has passed all three levels of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Program.
